Just one more day

of having my little cowboys at home. Yesterday they both got to have a ride on their little pony mare. E is getting quite the little musterer helping dad and following the mob home keeping the stragglers moving. A got to have a ride around the house paddock and wanted to know how to click (with his teeth or his tongue) to keep his pony moving. Being just that bit older (like 3 days off being 7) he is just that bit more confident.

He is another story now that I think about it. Any changes with Angus are so very noticable. His general confidence and ability in doing things. From speaking in front of his class (he is a finalist with his speech) to helping dad doing things around the farm. He will clear the table when I ask him to and finish the job completely or clean up his toys and put everything away. There will not be a thing left that hasn't been put away or straightened. When did my baby get to be so big????

Some photos from our holidays, from cutting firewood and finding this wild bee nest (little black bees but the smell is amazing) and a bit of a lazy last day at home as it is raining....

An odd photo starting with cousin Rosie, some cows with a bit of background and a different view of our house (the place I love to be most).

To unloading the truck of timber and tin to build chook pens

Duke broke his leg at the begining of the holidays, finding rock pools and climbing trees
All in all we had a pretty good couple of weeks even if it was just at home. It was great that Mum and Dad could be for a week and a bit too.
Tomorrow is back to school and some sort of normality. Back to packing lunches and bus runs.
